Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, enroll in courses, submit assignments or reviews, post in discussions, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, and course activity data. If you make a purchase, billing information (such as your card number) is processed by our payment provider, Stripe, and is not stored by AASM.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our educational services; to track your course progress and issue certificates; to process memberships and billing; to communicate with you about your courses, certificates, and account; and to send you the service emails you have chosen to receive. You can adjust which emails you receive at any time from your email preferences in the dashboard.

3. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the platform to function — for example, keeping you signed in. We also use basic analytics to understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. We do not currently serve third-party advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy before doing so.

4. Sign In with Google

If you choose the "Continue with Google" option, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us so we can create and maintain your account. This option is governed by Google's own privacy policy, and you can review or revoke connected-app access from your Google account settings at any time.

5. Service Providers

We rely on trusted service providers to operate the platform: Stripe processes membership payments; Google provides optional sign-in; and Base44 provides application hosting, database, and email infrastructure. These providers process information only on our behalf and for their stated purposes, in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share course-related information (such as enrollment and progress) with instructors of the courses you are enrolled in, for educational purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users and platform.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Enrollment, progress, and certificate records are retained so that we can provide you with continued access, verify certificates you have earned, and honor any future requests for proof of completion. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal information except for records we must keep (such as certificate verification data or transaction records required by law).

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive a copy of your data. You may also opt out of non-essential emails from your email preferences in the dashboard. To exercise any of these rights, contact our administrative office and we will respond promptly and fairly.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. International Data Transfers

Our service providers and infrastructure may be located in countries other than your own. If you access the platform from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its last-updated date. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email or in-app notice where appropriate.

13. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise your privacy rights, contact the AASM administrative office through the contact information published on this website or through your account dashboard.
