Our Foundation
Statement of Faith
These are the core doctrinal convictions that guide our ministry training, course content, and community life at AASM.
All course content generated or reviewed through this platform is evaluated for consistency with this statement of faith and responsible use of Scripture.
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in the full inspiration of Scripture. The Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God — the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross as the atonement for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will return to earth in power and glory.
We believe in salvation by grace through faith. Salvation is God's gift to mankind, received by repentance toward God, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and obedience to His Word. It is not earned by works but by the transforming grace of God.
We believe in water baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, according to the command of Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19. We believe this is a foundational ordinance of the New Testament church.
We are not part of the Apostolic Oneness (Jesus-Only) movement. While we are Apostolic in nature and practice, we hold to the traditional Trinitarian doctrine of the Godhead — one God eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, not in Jesus' name only.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4). This infilling is available to all believers.
We believe in holy living. Christians are called to live separated, consecrated lives that reflect the character of Christ — in integrity, humility, servant leadership, and love.
We believe in the fivefold ministry. God has set in the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers for the equipping of the saints and the building up of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11–12).
We believe in the local church as the primary vehicle for discipleship, worship, ministry, and community. Every believer is called to be connected to and accountable to a local body of believers.
We believe in the Great Commission. Every believer is commissioned to go into all the world, preach the gospel, make disciples, and plant churches among every people group.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead — the just to eternal life and the unjust to eternal judgment. The return of Jesus Christ is personal, visible, and imminent.
This statement of faith reflects the Apostolic doctrinal convictions that form the foundation of all teaching and training at the Apostolic Alignment School Of Ministry. Instructors and students are expected to respect and uphold these beliefs in all course discussions and interactions.
